TEFL International is a training organization that creates intercultural opportunities through teacher education, language training, internships, and more. Our goal is to help the world communicate better by providing valuable experiences and skills for both those in need and those seeking to improve their lives. We strive to be a fun, creative, responsive, culturally sensitive, high-value company focused on individual growth and customer satisfaction.
Oversight
A Board of Academic Advisors, including internationally recognized experts in the field of English teaching as well as locally-situated English school managers at TEFL International locations around the world, externally validates and moderates TEFL International.
TEFL International courses exceed current international accreditation standards (over 6 hours of observed teaching practice and over 100 hours of classroom.)

MICHELLE RAYMOND | Director / Trainer
Michelle Raymond comes from Cape Town, South Africa and has a B.A. Honours degree in Social Sciences. She has lived in Australia and the UK and moved to Buenos Aires in May 2009.

After completing the TESOL/TEFL course at the Recoleta Institute, Michelle spent a year teaching English as a foreign language to business people in Buenos Aires. During this period she fell in love with the city, the lifestyle and the people and decided to have her own language school.

Michelle has trained staff in the corporate field, taught at schools and in art programmes. Apart from teaching and training she has also worked as a garden designer and landscape gardener for 10 years. Now she is combining her business expertise and teaching skills at the Recoleta Institute.

GABRIELA HALLAS | Trainer
Gabriela Hallas was born in Germany. She holds an MA in English, American and Hungarian studies from the Humboldt-Universität Berlin (Germany) and has also studied in England and Spain. Before moving to Argentina she lived for 7 years in England, mainly in London, where she worked as a Project Manager for various publishing and translation companies.

Why Buenos Aires? Well, Gabriela first came to Argentina as a tourist in 2005. She travelled around quite a bit, fell in love with the country and its people and decided to move here in 2006. She did her TEFL certificate in the same year and hasn't look back since.

At the moment Gabriela teaches English and German, she works as a freelance translator and trainer TEFL Buenos Aires. She loves singing, dancing, travelling and meeting people from all over the world.
CARLA SALUGO | Spanish Teacher
Carla was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. She graduated in Languages from the University of Buenos Aires and has worked as a teacher of Spanish as a Second Language since 2001. Carla is a certified Spanish teacher by the International House Buenos Aires and in 2009 started working on the development of the Spanish Program at TEFL International Buenos Aires, where she teaches basic, intermediate and advanced classes.

Carla is also actress and writer and since 2008 has coordinated creative writing programs and workshops in Buenos Aires. She writes poetry and has published two books: El vino de la casa (Ediciones VOX, 2007) y Fuego chico (Nulú Bonsai Editora, 2009).



CAROLINA KELLY | Spanish Teacher
Carolina Kelly is a teacher of Literature and Spanish Language graduated in Languages from the University of Buenos Aires.

In the past three years she has been teaching Spanish in high schools and colleges and Spanish as a Second Language in Buenos Aires, working at TEFL Buenos Aires as the intermediate Spanish teacher.

At the moment she also teaches Latin American and Argentine Literature at the Instituto Superior de Letras Eduardo Mallea and develops reading and creating writing workshops in Spanish for speakers of other languages.


DANIELA PEEZ | Spanish Teacher
Daniela was born in Buenos Aires and has studied many different languages – Italian, French, English, Portuguese and German.

Her cultural interests have always reflected in her professional life. She has built an extensive career teaching Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish to speakers of other languages and has traveled around the world teaching and promoting Argentine culture through Tango Workshops.

She graduated as a Portuguese teacher from the Instituto Superior de Lenguas Vivas “Juan Ramón Fernandez” in Buenos Aires and currently works as a Spanish teacher at TEFL International. She also promotes and organizes tango workshops in Buenos Aires conducting classes in Spanish, Portuguese English, Italian and French.
